Paeng Nepomuceno

Six-time world champion and Filipino bowling legend Paeng Nepomuceno leaves Wednesday for Manchester, England, to receive the World Bowling Writers Mort Luby Jr. Distinguished Service Award.

He will become the first bowling athlete in history to get all recognitions given by the prestigious organization for his lifetime contributions to the sport.

Nepomuceno was named World Bowling Writers Bowler of the Year three times in the past and was the first male inductee in the World Bowling Writers Hall of Fame.

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Nepomuceno when he competes against eight top bowlers from around the world in the World Tenpin Masters in England on April 17-19.
